Hugh Batley is the Founder of TruTrip, a platform built to fix the disconnect between how people travel and how businesses work. After years of experiencing the inefficiencies of business travel firsthand, he launched TruTrip in 2019 to deliver a tech-driven solution for modern businesses across Southeast Asia. His background spans engineering, consulting, and entrepreneurship. He began in project management at BAE Systems and consulting at McKinsey & Company before co-founding digital agency Lion & Lion in 2013, scaling it to 200 people and exiting to Japan’s Septeni in 2016. Trained as a Mechanical Engineer, Hugh brings a builder’s mindset to travel management.
